There's Life Outside the Net

Those who know me via the web probably thought I died or had my IP blocked from the world. This is my first blog and/or forum post since late March 2004. The reason why is a change in jobs. I went from a third shift system admin who had way to much free time to burn to a daytime truck driver for a uniform company. You can only imagine how much computer time I lost in the change. It's all for the best though. Trust me. Yes, on third shift I could play all night on the web on sites and various video games. I was the only one at work so I could have a beer or venture to the parking lot for a "smoke". So many freedoms and luxuries, but my health and well being was slowly deteroirating. Third shift is great if you are a single person. However, if you have a family and you are fully involved with them, it is very hard to get sleep. I was barely clocking 4 hours of sleep at a time and don't get me started on my days off. On my days off I would immediatly switch back to a normal schedule. In order to do that I would have to stay up for 30+ hours at least twice a week.

My new job has me up at 5AM. I'm used to being awake at that hour, and I am used to waking up. I'm not one to sleep in or stay in bed. Never was. The new job is fine. I love driving a big ass delivery truck. I love the physical labor. (I was getting a little soft.) I even lost 10lbs so far. All this work and 10+ hour work days, I am exhausted. Then I rush home to be with the wife and kids. I don't ignore them and glue my eyes to the computer.

Once I get my own route and I can get everything down to a routine, I will find more time for the net. And possibly updating this blog alot more than I do now. However, I will not post on more than half of the forums that I used too. Only the ones that serve as useful and not places of flamage and useless drivel.

Also, my new job did result in a slight pay cut for now. It will get better. However, I still need my cool toys and you can help me earn some free ones. You too can also earn a free one as well. Check out these links below.

John, hope all is well with your" legal jobs" search.
Maybe you can find looking for "careers" at www.directmatch4free.com
Just make sure you come back to this site to let us know how you are doing!

Hey everyone! Cool site! The customer support seems good and the technology jobs are endless. Maybe I will have a better directmatch searching for human resources
since my keyword "customer care jobs" did not fit as intended.
Glad I found you! Keep on keepin on!
